This is just to let you know that I have run out of subway walls and the words with which to decorate them.  As a result this website will be closing down at the end of April 2021.

There is plenty of useful historical information to be found in the various sections.  Please download whatever you need in the coming weeks.

This gig was never going to last forever and the current restrictions placed on attending matches and having photographers there has simply compounded what was frankly a waning interest on my part.

Running costs can no longer be covered because there is no sponsorship.  Those people who seemed so keen to step in invariably found the water temperature not to their liking as soon as the match/season/son’s school career ended.

To perform this task efficiently one needs the co-operation of the schools in sending in fixture lists and results.  Very few do this and, at 67, I’m not prepared to play nursemaid to the masses, finding out scores and scorers from people who can’t be bothered to do so.

I announced my decision on Facebook on Tuesday 6 April.  The final irony is that among the many messages of support and - occasionally - gratitude was one from a person whose potential school fixtures for this season, requested last October, still haven’t arrived.  I rest my case.
